Portrait of bell hooks. I adore her work and I don’t really think that her message is that everything sucks, at least not in the way that I use the phrase which is in a desperate, why bother tone. In that sense of everything sucking there’s nothing worth fighting for. I think bell hooks’ version of everything sucking means pull your head out of your butt and look at what the hell is going on around you.
